The Council has received applications for the temporary closure of the following roads, for the following events, on the date and times shown below.
University of Canterbury Graduation Parade
Road proposed to be closed
Colombo Street from 10 metres North of Cashel Street to 10 metres South of Cashel Street
Proposed period of closure
From 10am to 11am Wednesday, 10 April 2024
Lincoln University Graduation Parade
Road proposed to be closed
Worcester Street from Montreal Street to Cambridge Terrace
Proposed period of closures
From 9.20am to 9.50am and 1.20pm to 1.50pm on Friday, 10 May 2024
These closures are proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974.
The proposed closure will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles and vehicles directly involved with the event.
No resident vehicular access will be available during the period of the proposed closure.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closure may do so in writing to the Council Secretary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch,
no later than 5pm on Monday, 11 March 2024.
