The Council has received applications for the temporary closure of the following roads, for the following events, on the date and times shown below.

Cathedral Square from Colombo Street to Western intersection of Worcester Street

Banks Street from Kirk Road to Bicknor Street

Proposed Period of Closures

From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm 25 April 2024

These closures are proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. The proposed closure will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles and vehicles directly involved with the event. No resident vehicular access will be available during the period of the proposed closure.

Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closure may do so in writing to the Council Secretary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch, no later than 5pm on Friday, 15 March 2024.
