Details
We are upgrading the traffic signaling for the intersection of Main South Road and Springs Road. These works are required to take place at night to mitigate the impact on the high volume of traffic that passes through this intersection during the day.
The works included, but are not limited to;
- Installation of new ducting
- Pavement reinstatement
- Installation of new traffic poles
- Reinstatement of footpath
- Concrete cutting and pouring for islands
- Road marking and signage
Our contractors will do their utmost to complete the noisiest of the works early in the night to minimize the impact to residents in the area.
Traffic Impacts
- There will be lane and turn bay closures at this intersection each night, as per the dates advised above.
- Detour routes will be in place, with signage to redirect traffic around the closures. Please allow extra travel time if you will be affected by the closures.
Pedestrian access
- Pedestrian and access will be available via marked routes with signs advising where to go.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
