Impacts to Wharf Users

  • The Wharf will be closed at times during the repair work for both pedestrian and fishing use and boat access. Signs and fences will be installed to indicate that it's closed. The nearest wharf to use for docking boats is the Akaroa Main Wharf when the Wainui wharf is closed.
  • There will be increased noise from the use of machinery for activities such piling, and timber installation.
  • The Wanui Boat ramp is unaffected by these works.
