Hornby's brand new pool, library and service centre complex is officially open on Friday 19 April from 3pm.

Join us by celebrating the opening of Matatiki Hornby Centre at our fun-filled community day. Jump, rush, bash your way through the inflatable obstacle course in the pool, or chill out in the library checking out the huge array of books on offer.

We're also lucky to have The Hits broadcasting live onsite throughout the day doing giveaways, offering on-air opportunities to our tamariki and more.

There's also a whole heap more on such as virtual reality sessions, bookmark making with our in-house laser cutter, scavenger hunts, board games, arts and crafts and so much more. We'll also be activating in Kyle Park with sports and kai.

Don't fancy a dip in the pool? We'll be running free tours around the pool space every 15 minutes.

The community day is free, but if you're swimming, standard pool entry fees apply.

Please note that we expect the community day to be busy. Capacity is limited within each space of the centre which means sometimes we'll be running a one-in, one-out system.

There will be plenty to do on the day within Matatiki Hornby Centre and Kyle Park so we encourage you to go and explore it all.
