The Council has received an application for the temporary closures of the following roads, for the following event, on the date and times shown below.

Cashel Street from Durham Street North to Rolleston Avenue
Chester Street East from Madras Street to Barbadoes Street
Chester Street West from Park Terrace to Durham Street North
Colombo Street from Salisbury Street to Armagh Street
Cranmer Square East from Kilmore Street to Armagh Street
Cranmer Square West from Kilmore Street to Armagh Street

Proposed period of closures

From 5am to 2:30pm Sunday, 21 April 2024.


These closures are proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974.
The proposed closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles and vehicles directly involved with the event.
No resident access will be available during the period of the proposed closures.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closure may do so in writing to the Council Secretary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch, no later than 5pm on Friday, 8 March 2024. Alternately, any objection may be emailed to megan.pearce@ccc.govt.nz
