Councillor for Cashmere Ward.
Tim Scandrett is a third term city councillor representing the Cashmere ward which covers the area from the Port Hills to both sides of the Heathcote River.
Tim is the chair of the Regulatory Performance Committee. He also chairs the Summit Road Authority and is an Executive Board member of VBase and ShowBiz, Christchurch.
Having lived in the Cashmere ward all his life, Tim has extensive local and community networks and has served on the Spreydon Cashmere Community board since 2007. He is also in the unique position of having worked at Christchurch City Council - so he knows the organisation inside out.
Tim became involved with local body politics as he likes to work with people to make things happen and believes rate payers need to be well represented around the council table.
Key interests are protecting the unique natural environment of the Heathcote River and Port Hills and providing community and sporting facilities.
Above all, Tim believes in connecting with his community and holds monthly community clinics at the Beckenham service centre from 4.30pm to 6pm on the first Wednesday of every month. Please call in or contact Tim on 027 693 5155.
