We’re replacing a 600 metre section of water main on Port Hills Road between Mauger Drive and Martindales Road.
We will do this by open trenching along the carriageway and footpaths.
Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works. Parking may be unavailable during the water main installation, with No Parking signs displayed along Port Hills Road as the work progresses.
Pedestrian access will be available at all times. All works will be completed within working hours of 7am to 6pm and noise disturbance will be kept to a minimum.
If we need to do any works outside of these times, we’ll let you know before works begin.
Our contractors Fulton Hogan are planning to start work on this project on 18 May with an expected finish date of 31 July.

Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
