Details
What you need to know:
- We’re temporarily stopping work on Norwood Street. This will allow our contractors to help at the fire-damaged Christchurch Wastewater treatment plant, where our teams are preparing the site in order to remove the rotting material from inside the destroyed trickling filters.
- We will resume work after approximately three weeks.
- During this temporary pause we will be securing the site, making sure that it is safe and access to properties is maintained.
- There will be some areas that need to remain fenced off and the speed limit will stay at 30km/h.
- We will provide an updated timeline for works in approximately three weeks’ time.

Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
