Details
- We’re replacing old (end of life) water mains and lateral connections along Deans Avenue. The work we're doing will improve how well they function now and in the future.
- Work will be carried out in stages along Deans Avenue. Work will start at the intersection of Deans Avenue/Lester Lane and progress in stages towards Deans Avenue/Bartlett Street intersection.
- We'll start with potholing work to locate services. After we've done that we'll need to dig up the road to reach the underground pipes. The water supply main will be replaced in the road, the sub-mains and property connections will be completed in the footpath.
- We plan to maintain two lanes of traffic during the works. Traffic management will be installed to keep both road users and workers safe. They'll be no on-street parking on Deans Avenue in the area we are working in. We will open up sections of parking where we can as work progresses.
- During construction, access to your property will be restricted at times. We’ll let you know before we begin this work so you can park your car on the road, outside of the work site. If you urgently require vehicle access to your property, for deliveries or home help etc, please speak to our friendly staff on-site and we can help
manage this.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
