Details
- While we’ve done our best to keep to the planned end date of August 2021, a number of delays means the revised timeframe for this project is now mid-September 2021.
- This includes wet weather, difficulty locating existing underground services and the discovery of a damaged water main on the south side of Cashmere Road that needs to be renewed
- The condition of the pipe is a lot worse than anticipated and the decision has been made to renew the pipe before completing the new roadworks above it. Planning and arranging a water contractor to carry out the work are ongoing, but it is expected this extra work will take 2 to 3 weeks to complete.
- We understand construction delays are inconvenient and frustrating and thank you for your patience while we complete the upgrade.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
