Waterloo Road and Kirk Road - water service upgrades

What

We're replacing the water supply pipes in your area. The work includes trenching, laying the new pipe and reinstating the road surface.

Why

This work is required to upgrade and replace aging water infrastructure.

Where

Waterloo Road (between Bicknor Street and Kirk Road) and Kirk Road (between Waterloo Road and Bailey Street), Templeton.

When

23 March 2026 to mid July 2026. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

Details

  • We are replacing the water supply pipes in your street as the existing pipes have reached the end of their service life.
  • There will be times when on-street parking and vehicle access to properties is temporarily restricted. The contractor will door knock to allow residents to move vehicles if necessary.
  • Traffic impacts can be expected such as lane closures,
    one-way systems, closures of side roads, temporary traffic lights and footpath closures while these works are being undertaken.
  • The work may result in increased dust, noise and vibrations.
  • We will try to keep any disruption to a minimum.
  • Water supply to your property will be maintained, with a separate notice being given for any shut off when connecting to the new pipes.
  • This is being coordinated with the construction of the South Express cycleway and work to replace water pipes on Railway Terrace.
