Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre - resurfacing carpark : Christchurch City Council

What	Resurfacing of the carpark and vehicle entranceways at Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre.
Why	The existing carpark surface has deteriorated over time, and is due for a resurface.
Where	Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre, Spreydon.
When	23 January 2023 to late March 2023. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

The existing carpark and vehicle entranceways at Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre have deteriorated over time, and are in need of a resurface.
The opportunity will be taken to improve pedestrian safety with new crossing points and traffic calming features between the carpark and the main buildings.
Drainage improvements will also be undertaken to reduce surface water ponding.
The carpark will be finished with new linemarking and signage to better facilitate the needs of the centres visitors.
The work will cause some noise disturbance and will mean on-street parking may be required when the facility is in high use. There will also be delays and restricted access at times through the vehicle entrance ways to the facility.

Noise

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
