Details

There has been a delay to our works on Mays Road Pump Station, which has an overall impact on the project’s expected end date. Major works are now completed and project is expected to be fully completed in last quarter of 2022, not the second quarter of 2022 as earlier communicated.

The delay was due to difficult ground conditions encountered during drilling phase, slow well development process and Covid-19 spread which has slowed down the overall project progress. Construction works are now progressing as planned and will continue for few more months.

The hours and scope of work as follows remains the same:

  • The work will supplement the pump station’s supply to residents and businesses in the area.
  • The footpath outside the site will be deviated slightly during construction but no other significant traffic impacts are expected as the main works will be contained inside the pump station area.
  • There will be some construction noise typical of well drilling operations but this will be kept to a minimum and between working hours where practicable.
