Start: Bridle Path car park at the base of the Gondola.
Finish: Summit Road or Lyttelton.
Access: Either from Bridle Path Road or Port Hills Road, Heathcote Valley.
Signage: Well sign posted at start and finish.
Description: Riding up the Bridle Path from Heathcote Valley without stopping really gets the heart pumping.
When you reach the Summit Road, the Bridle Path descends into Lyttelton. The descent track is smooth and fast. Humps are scattered along the track for surface water drainage.
Control your speed and give way to walkers and runners as this is a popular track.
