The annual report sets out what the Christchurch City Council did in the past year, why we did those things, how much they cost, and how we paid for them.
The Council produces an annual report each year to account for the money provided to it by its ratepayers, by financial institutions and by government agencies.
2024 Annual ReportThe 2024 Annual Report was adopted by the Council on 30 October 2024 and published on 28 November 2024, in compliance with s98(4) of the Local Government Act 2002.
The 2023 Annual Report was adopted by the Council on 31 October 2023 and published on 28 November 2023, in compliance with s98(4) of the Local Government Act 2002.
The 2022 Annual Report was adopted by the Council on 14 December 2022 and published on 19 December 2022, in compliance with s98(4) of the Local Government Act 2002.
The 2021 Annual Report was adopted by the Council on 12 October 2021 and published on 28 October 2021, in compliance with s98(4) of the Local Government Act 2002.
The 2020 Annual Report was adopted by the Council on 10 December 2020 and published on 11 December 2020, in compliance with s98(4) of the Local Government Act 2002.

The 2019 Annual Report is our first opportunity to report on our progress against the key goals set in our 2018–2028 Long Term Plan. In preparing our Long Term Plan we used feedback from residents about what they wanted us to achieve for Christchurch over the 10-year period and what they wanted us to prioritise.
This Annual Report shows that we remain focused on bringing infrastructure and services across the city up to the standard residents expect. The report outlines our overall financial position and performance as measured against financial key performance indicators.
