Nominations open on Thursday 23 July and close at noon on Thursday 20 August.

Voting begins on Thursday 24 September and closes at noon on Friday 16 October 2020.

Voting is easy – local elections are held by postal vote, and New Zealand Post delivers voting papers to all enrolled voters.

After receiving your voting document you should complete it, seal it in the return postage-paid envelope and post or deliver it to the Electoral Officer. Hand-delivered completed voting documents can be returned to the Christchurch City Council Civic Offices at 53 Hereford Street, and Linwood Library and Service Centre, first floor Eastgate Mall, corner Buckleys Road and Linwood Avenue.
