Pauline COTTERThe People’s Choice

My principal place of residence is in the Innes Ward area.

Resident of St Albans for 32 years, City Councillor since 2013, I currently Chair the Infrastructure Transport and Environment Committee, Council appointment to the Christchurch West Melton Water Zone Committee.
Protecting our pure Christchurch groundwater is paramount, both Quality and Quantity. Council must educate to help prevent continual contamination of our urban waterways, and encourage land use diversification to halt nitrate pollution of our drinking water.
I am a strong advocate for the Edgeware Pool Project, speedy completion of the St Albans Community centre, a new centre at 10 Shirley Rd. I am passionate about our Community centres, the upkeep of our parks and reserves, neighbourhood community gardens, all of which create connections between us.
Council must show leadership with Climate Change. Transport choices for all modes, focus on Public Transport infrastrucure, rapid transport corridors, move people not cars, embrace technology, move Christchurch to a clean, green, active, healthy city.

Operator of the Cosy Café for the past 11 years. Prior to the Café I was a Director of Freshchoice Merivale.
I'm putting myself forward for council as I strongly believe it is time for a change in order to reduce the bureaucracy, address fiscal accountability in all areas and endeavour to make dealings with the council streamlined and straightforward.
I undertake to represent you around the Council table to obtain the best possible outcomes for our city.

My principal place of residence is not in the Innes Ward area. I am also standing for the Innes Ward of the Papanui-Innes Community Board.

I grew up in South Brighton, live in Burwood, but spend most of my time in Innes so I'm running in this ward.
A qualified scientist and builder, I'm married and have two children at my local Innes ward primary school.
I'm interested in avoiding enforced central government chlorination and accountability on council spending decisions. Increasing the central business district urban population density and enabling suburban infill is the way to spreading rates costs over more citizens.
And as a builder, I'm keen to develop the council's social housing policy.

Mark WILSONIndependent Voice for Innes

My principal place of residence is in the Innes Ward area.

I am standing to be your Innes Council representative, to put community first, to rebuild and improve community facilities, to secure our water, and to do what's right for our children. I'm passionate and proud to live within my community, after many years battling insurance, we were always going to stay and rebuild our home, I'm pleased we did.
For the last 18 months I've been actively involved in negotiating better outcomes for all communities affected directly and indirectly by the Northern Arterial Motorway. We continue to make significant community focused improvements within this project, 'move people not cars'.
Local facilities within Innes are inadequate. Why, eight years after community centers/libraries were demolished they still haven't been rebuilt? We need collaboration and action, not ineffectual consultation and red tape, to rebuild much needed community facilities, libraries, pools, upgraded playgrounds/parks.
I'm standing up for our community and its future.

I am completing my second term advocating for my community on the Papanui Innes Community Board. I am experienced, independent, committed and local. My voting history shows I listen to, and support our community.
I am also a part time Speech Language Therapist working with children and young people with disabilities, and a single mother of two primary aged children. I've just finished a term on their BOT at St Francis of Assisi Catholic School in Mairehau.
After working tenaciously for the Flockton Community to get flooding mitigation completed, I continue to work for the wider community supporting a variety of issues including traffic, roading, supporting our pool group, increasing accessible play equipment in ward playgrounds, educational equity and access, community facility issues, our environment, to mention just a few.
I want our community to be a wonderful and safe place for everyone - I appreciate your support and vote.

Holly CHAPPELL-EASON

Holly CHAPPELL-EASONMy principal place of residence is in the Innes Ward of the Papanui-Innes Community Board area.

As a proud 5th generation Cantabrian I'm driven to make a difference in our city. The opportunity to help make our community vibrant, active and safe is an exciting prospect.
A strong community board should embrace diversity, sports, family, culture, public spaces and community groups. We need chlorine-free water and safe streets; a balance of pedestrians and cars, and functioning public spaces. We are a diverse and thriving community. We should be celebrating all of the different passions we have - what's important to us. Let's make Papanui-Innes ward a place we are proud to call home. After living and working all over New Zealand it felt exciting and necessary to move home to Saint Albans, to start my family here, to be an active part of the rebuild. Make sure your vote counts - a vote for Holly Chappell-Eason is a vote for you and your family's future.

After a term on the City Council (2013-2016) and two terms on the Papanui Innes Community Board (2013-2019), I have decided to put my name forward for another term on the Community Board.
Working in the community and advocating for individuals and groups is where I believe I can and do, make a difference.
Roading, traffic, housing density, cycleways and public transport are the issues residents tell me are their priorities. After a total of six years in local government and extensive experience advocating for insurance claimants, I am dedicated to working for individuals and the community as a whole. Papanui Innes is our community. We face a number of challenges in the coming term and my experience and networks will help navigate those challenges.

My principal place of residence is in the Innes Ward of the Papanui-Innes Community Board area.

I was born in India but am a New Zealand citizen who is extremely proud to call this beautiful country home!
I have a Masters in Political Science, and currently serve as a Justice of the Peace, registered marriage celebrant and Chair for IndianNZ Association Inc.
As an active member of the local community, I understand the challenges we face, and the issues that are important to us. I know that a safe and reliable source of drinking water is vital, as is secure, warm and affordable housing. I know that we desperately need better infrastructure around transport and to create a network that improves accessibility for people of all ages.
I passionately believe that each and every one of us should have a voice, and I would love the opportunity to advocate on your behalf with my hard work and honesty.

I have organised, run, and been involved in successful Fundraisers, Balls, and voluntary events. I'm a doer and achiever and would like to make a change when and where possible by supporting the Innes Community.
Chlorine Free Christchurch Water. We are renowned for our beautiful pure Water. For our health and safety it is essential to protect it by keeping it chemical free.
Rates, for many people, are a financial burden, therefore it would be prudent to review selling off ineffective assets.
The Northern Arterial, Cranford motorway exit roundabout is too small. Enlarging to have included a right hand turn to prevent the inevitable bottlenecking would have been wise. Unfortunately work is well under way and appears too late to change. Sorry, missed my chance.
Cycleways require modification. Latest style Streetlights altered to light the street below, rather than houses across the road.
I'm a widow with a grown daughter.

Lifestyle changes supporting a sustainable future are urgently required.
Our ward requires infrastructure that compels us to live sustainably without feeling inconvenienced or overcharged.
Examples include, public transport becoming a preferred method of travel, streetscapes which encourage social interaction, low energy housing, local activities and safe streets to keep our children and older residents active and the development of healthy wetlands.
I have a proven record of facilitating positive community development, acknowledged with a New Zealander of the Year Local Hero Award in 2014.
Successful local projects include the St Albans Community Strategy, the community centre, St Albans News, the Can the Plan Campaign and the beautification of Edgeware Village.
Wife, mother, business owner, teacher, community activator. I understand advocacy, good governance and the oversight of operations. I want to see transparent decision-making as well as project budgets equalling the actuals.
Vote for me because our future is now.
