We are planning to install raised speed platforms on each of the four approaches to the Caulfield Avenue, Richmond Avenue and Whincops Road intersection, to slow vehicles as they enter the roundabout.
We are also panning to install a speed cushion on Whincops Road, near Ishwar Ganda Boulevard, to further slow vehicle speeds.
Improving safety on local roads in Christchurch is a priority for Council and is also a national priority under the Road to Zero, New Zealand’s road safety strategy(external link) for 2020-2030.
