What's happening in your neighbourhood

The Council's Land Drainage Recovery Programme (LDRP) has a prioritised programme of flood remediation work for flood-prone areas across the city.

Avon catchment

Earthquake damage to land and infrastructure alongside the Avon River has led to an increase in the severity of flooding to existing flood-prone land and to some new areas.

Heathcote catchment

Earthquake damage to land and infrastructure alongside the Heathcote River has led to increased severity of flooding.

Estuary and Sumner catchment

The Estuary and Sumner Flood Protection Programme includes Southshore, Redcliffs and parts of Sumner.

Cashmere Stream enhancements

We’re working in partnership with the local community to restore the health of the Cashmere Stream.
