For those who are new to spin, who would like to step up and pedal hard. You’ll get a good workout while learning different aspects of spin training, including bike set up, technique, use of resistance and riding positions.

Spin beginners is a four-week programme held at Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre(external link) for absolute beginners. Each week focuses on a different aspect of a Spin class - by the end of the last session you'll have the confidence to go to a normal Spin class.

  • Week 1 – bike set up, basic riding positions, flat and moderate hill tracks
  • Week 2 – recap week 1, introducing speed and strength tracks
  • Week 3 – recap week 2, introducing how to use the app, jumps, hovers and reverse
  • Week 4 – normal class intensity 
Class duration 50 minutes – same as a normal Spin class
