Preschool gymnastics promotes movement and coordination in children aged 2 to 5 years old of all abilities. Classes build on fundamental movement skills to support body and brain development to enable confidence in a safe and social group environment.
All our centres are open. Capacity restrictions have been lifted so you can enjoy the pools, fitness centres and group fitness classes with friends and whānau.
Bubbletimes, Sleepytimes, adult swim lessons, the full Swimsmart programme, Tumbletimes, pre-school gymnastics and the Southern Centre have resumed as normal.
We have two options for preschool-age gymnastics-based programmes.
Our programme for two to three and a half years of age is a good step between our drop-in Tumbletimes session and our preschool term-based gymnastics classes. This class is term-based and involves parent/caregiver and child participation.
Classes incorporate ball skills, movement, and an introduction to gymnastics. This is great for developing an attitude to structure, basic motor skills, coordination, balance and rhythm.
Classes are for three and four years of age. Our classes are filled with activities to develop confidence, fundamental movement patterns and coordination. Kids will learn basic gymnastic skills and, in the process, develop better coordination and greater confidence.
Parents are required to remain in the stadium while classes run.
