An attractive walk, predominantly through regenerating bush, connecting Governors Bay with the network of tracks up in the reserve.

COVID-19 update on parks and tracks

All parks and tracks are open under alert level 2.  To help keep everyone well, please continue to maintain a 2 metre distance from other people when you’re out and about and please wash your hands before and after using equipment in our parks and gardens.

The following are all open:

  • Playgrounds, play equipment or exercise equipment in parks
  • Visitor and information centres
  • Dog parks
  • The Botanic Gardens
  • Boat ramps and wharves
  • Cemeteries

track start

Start: Junction with South Boundary.

Finish: Bay Heights, Governors Bay.

Time: 30 minutes one way.

Toilets: Located at Governors Bay Hall.

Dogs: Dogs must be on a short leash.

Description:

As you descend on Titoki Track from the junction with South Boundary, the track zig-zags steeply through regenerating bush. The descent evens out as you enter a bush covered gully. Follow the watercourse down through a pocket of Fuschia forest (Kōtukutuku), past the junction with Ngaio Track and out to Bay Heights. From here follow the road down Ernest Adams Drive and turn left onto the main road into Governors Bay where you can rest and enjoy the various refreshment options available.
