Description

Multiple tracks meander through the Garden of Tane and create a bush maze to explore.

The garden features a mix of mature exotic trees and native regeneration, lots of birdsong, lovely views and a rich botanical and human history.  Several historic cemeteries, where many of the early Akaroa settlers are buried, are worth wandering through, providing a window into the past.

After wet weather, the track can get very muddy and slippery. Wear sturdy footwear and take care.
