The track begins at the end of Alymer’s Valley Road and passes through native bush to arrive at the foot of Newton's Waterfall. The best time to visit is after a good rainfall or in autumn, winter or spring. The waterfall often completely dries up in summer. During winter this track can be wet and slippery so please proceed with caution. Get ready for this track using Plan My Walk(external link)(external link) by the NZ Mountain Safety Council. You can find track alerts, weather forecasts, trip reviews and a packing list, so you are set for your adventure. |
