The Single Fin Mingle 2026

Having made a name for itself as New Zealand's largest and best traditional surfing event, The Single Fin Mingle is once again gracing Sumner shores and enlivening Sumner Village between the 26th - 29th March.

The Single Fin Mingle is a world-class surf and cultural festival set against the golden curve of Sumner Beach, where surf, art, music, food and human connection come together. By day, the shoreline hums as the world’s best longboard surfers glide and dance across the waves, competing for one of the sport’s most respected crowns. From the sand, the festival spills onto Sumner Esplanade, which comes alive with buzzing food vendors, beach bars, cafés, market stalls and live music.

When night falls on Friday and Saturday, Sumner Village transforms for The Single Fin Mingle famous street party. Under the stars, the beachside village becomes an open-air concert destination, hosting two unforgettable headline shows from some of New Zealand and Australia’s most loved artists. Music echoes between the hills and the sea, closing each night in a way only The Single Fin Mingle can. Retro outfits are encouraged, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.
