Light up yourself and your bike for a family-friendly fun ride around Hagley Park. This is our fourteenth year!
The purpose is to brightly support safe cycling in Christchurch, for commuters, kids riding to school and for all recreational cyclists. And to be cool – very cool. Bling your bike, helmet and person with as many lights as you can.
We follow each other single file on our bicycles around the new protected cycleways and the shared-use paths of North Hagley Park. The route is traffic-free.
Note: this is a family-friendly event, but organisers ask you to ride with your children.
This will be the fourteenth consecutive year of this ride. We have gone ahead in snow before and are prepared to do so again – or rain or wind. In case of really severe weather, an announcement will be posted on the SPOKES Canterbury Facebook Page by 4pm on the day. Needless to say, it could be cold, so dress appropriately.
