Winter Fun – Chill in the City
A series of outdoor activities to celebrate winter, including ice skating, Hagglund rides, huskies and tobogganing down a mound of real snow.
Ice skating
- Located in Hack Circle opposite H&M in front of Glassons.
- Thursday 29 July to Sunday 1 August from 10am to 5pm daily.
- $5 per person entry fee for half-hour skate.
Hägglund rides
- Located on the empty lot next to Westpac Bank on Cashel Street City Mall.
- Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August from 10am to 5pm daily.
- Gold coin donation.
Selfies with the huskies and Antarctic VR experience
- Located under The Terrace Carpark next to the BNZ Centre.
- Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August from 10am to 5pm daily.
- Gold coin donation.
Winter Wonderland at Riverside
- Snowy Winter Wonderland and toboggan run located in the Riverside Carpark off Lichfield Street.
- Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August – while the snow lasts.
