A brilliant local day out, and a showcase of all the amazing happenings in and around our suburb Richmond.
A brilliant local day out, and a showcase of all the amazing happenings in and around our suburb, the Richmond Gala is a collaborative community event hosted by Richmond Community Garden, Avebury House and We Are Richmond. From Vogel St to Eveleyn Couzins Ave, the entire riverside corner will be humming.
Visit the car boot sale in the Community Garden’s meadow. Wander through the garden where local organisations, demonstrations, performers, and the fun of the fayre go straight through the playground, and on up to Avebury House where crafty and creative stallholders will be on the lawn.
We’ll also have live entertainment, fabulous food vendors, and of course Avebury’s famous Devonshire Tea in the House.
Car boot – to book a car boot space, email Cathy at coordinator@richmondcommunitygarden.co.nz ($15 per car).
Preserves competition – calling all preservers. Get your tastiest chutneys, relishes, vinegars etc in the judges’ mix. Email Morgane at admin@richmondcommunitygarden.co.nz.
Buskers – magic, dance, circus art, wanna-be buskers of all types, and all ages welcome - put your name down for a 10-20 min slot by emailing Morgane: admin@richmondcommunitygarden.co.nz
Crafty locals with a market stall – email Tanya: admin@aveburyhouse.co.nz.
Please note that many sellers can only accept cash, though bank transfers are also commonly used now. The closest ATM is at New World Stanmore.
