Riccarton House – Connecting the Past

Enjoy a guided tour of Riccarton House at a special price during the Christchurch Heritage Festival.

This grand mansion, started in 1856 and completed in 1900, was the home of the Deans family for 80 years. Experience a tour of the house and hear the history of the pioneering Deans family – their stories of dreams, love and promises.

Our tour entwines the Deans's family story, from their origins in lowland Scotland to the triumphs and tragedy in New Zealand, with a guided experience of over 20 rooms throughout Riccarton House.

Price for the Heritage Festival: Adults $10 and Children $5 

Full House tour includes a second storey and there is no lift access.
