Restoration, Resilience and Renewal

Helen Webby and Café Operana celebrate the survival of the exquisite Rose Historic Chapel against both Mother Nature and the bulldozer.

Whakahounga, Manawaroa, Whakamōhou. The Rose Historic Chapel has defied the odds twice and remains dear to the hearts of many Christchurch people who have enjoyed special events here.

Helen and Café Operana will celebrate, in music and song, the amazing resilience of this important heritage building which has survived against the odds.

Doors will open at 4.30pm. This is a non ticketed event so to avoid disappointment arrival at a reasonable time in advance is recommended.
