Reserves along the Ōpāwaho Heathcote Awa walk

A guided walk along the Ōpāwaho Heathcote River, taking in five beautiful reserves (Ernle Clark Reserve, Purau Reserve, Hollis Reserve, Donkey Track and Farnley Reserve).

Learn how the local community has worked to restore these special spaces.

Meet on the north-facing lawn, by the sculpture, by the library.

It is approximately 7.5km of mixed terrain (some flat, some hills, footpaths, bush walks, steps).

Should you need them, there are public toilet facilities in various places along our route.

Dogs welcome, on a leash.

Rain dates: Sunday 25 April or Sunday 2 May 2021.
