Hundertwasser loved spirals as a symbol of life. He liked being on the water or in nature. Paint a vibrant canvas with spirals, boats, faces, raindrops, etc.
As he said, “the picture is the harvest of the dream”, develop a version of his style in this mixed media workshop. Friedrich Hundertwasser was born in Vienna in 1928. Later in life, he moved to the far north of NZ after visiting the Bay of Islands with an exhibition of his work.
Whangarei District Council opened a gallery in conjunction with his Viennese Foundation. The session will be inspired by images and learning from Margaret’s visit.
The materials provided include a medium-sized canvas, a palette and a paintbrush which you can keep, as well as paint, metallic pens and watercolour pencils for use during the session.
You will also complete a colourful watercolour bookmark.
