Old Stone House nestled at the foot of the Cashmere Hill, is a unique Christchurch landmark. Built in 1870, Old Stone House is fully restored and reopened in 2018 after earthquake strengthening and major repairs.

There will be a display of information on the history of the Old Stone House from its beginnings as the living quarters for John Cracroft Wilson's Indian workers, to its current use as a community centre and event venue.

The Old Stone House is a Christchurch City Council-owned building but is managed by a committee from the Cracroft Community Centre and serves as a community centre, wedding and events venue.
