Nurses' Memorial Chapel - Our Stories Told

Enjoy this beautifully restored art and crafts building during one of our open days.

The Nurses' Memorial Chapel, built in 1927, sits adjacent to the Botanic Gardens in its own tranquil setting surrounded by a stunning garden.

Featuring 12 beautiful stained glass windows, furniture carved by two local craftsmen and a boutique museum, the chapel is thought to be the only purpose-built chapel in the world that commemorates women who died in World War I and the 1918 Flu Pandemic.

On Saturday 23 October at 2pm Anna Rodgers, author of Stand For All Time, will tell the story of the sinking of the Marquette, the history of the Chapel, its significance and the scandal that surrounds it.

EFTPOS available.
