Myths and Mortals

What was life like in ancient times? Meet the ancient Greeks and Romans and explore their myths and legends in the UC Teece Museum's latest exhibition.

The ancient Greeks and Romans came from all walks of life, some barely survived in slavery while others led rich and fulfilling lives.

Whether they were at the bottom or the top of the pecking order, the Greeks and Romans formed strong communities and shared a variety of cultures and beliefs, just as we do today.

'Myths and Mortals' features an array of amazing objects - marble sculptures, elaborate vases, jewellery, armour and more.

These artefacts capture the epic myths and stories, the rise and fall of empires, the glorious competitions in sport and war, and the everyday lives of people in ancient times.

Hours: 11am to 3pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
