Matariki Mākete

A beautiful market showcasing local artisans selling quality arts and crafts to celebrate Matariki.

Experience the beauty and quality of our local artisan-made goods and treasures. Meet the makers and explore what Ōtautahi craftspeople have to offer. Additional Māori artists and craftspeople, as well as more regular stallholders, will be showcasing their art and crafts.

Venue: Market Square

This event is part the Matariki celebrations at Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre.

Celebrate Matariki with talented artists from Ōtautahi and beyond. Experience outstanding performances, an exhibition of Māori visual arts, a stunning Kapa Haha showcase, exciting kid's wānanga (workshops) and a Matariki mākete (market).
