Matariki family planting at Rongoā Garden

Join rongoā practitioners as they celebrate Matariki and puaka rising to signal the Maori New Year.

We will be planting native trees and shrubs into the Rongoā Garden and we’d love your help. This planting event is suitable for families and is also one of our Children’s University accredited events.

Park and meet at 303 Radcliffe Road, then it’s an easy 5 to 10-minute walk to the planting site.

For those coming late, there is limited parking at the Rongoā garden, accessible from 565R Marshlands Road.

Dress warmly in sturdy footwear – gumboots and warm layers recommended.
