THE BONES OF OUR PAST is a documentary narrated by the people of Ngāti Kuri, Ngāi Tahu, it follows the reconstruction of the wharenui, Maru Kaitātea, at Takahanga Marae in Kaikōura which in turn reestablishes their cultural identity and status as tangata whenua at Takahanga Marae.
This is the debut documentary from Cilla Harnett and seasoned director, Rick Harvie.
