Lion Dance Workshop - Lunar New Year

Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with Christchurch City Libraries. Come along to Upper Riccarton Library and find out how Lion Dance works.

This workshop will be delivered jointly by the well-known Qiao Yi Lion Dance Team and Christchurch City Libraries staff.

You will learn how to make a lion head with recycled materials and the basic movements, then participate in a casual lion dance performance for fun.

Ages 10 to 16 years.

Free, bookings are required. Bookings open last week of January 2024, check the library website for details.
