Jazz at Fat Eddies

Tiger Moth

  • Thursday 23 March, 6pm.
  • Tiger Moth presents the Masters of Swing, featuring Christchurch's top-order line-up with Neill Pickard, Gwyn Reynolds, Cam Pearce, Reuben Derrick, Tom Rainey, Brad Grainger and Luke Smillie.

Eat My Shorts with Jennine Bailey

  • Friday 24 March, 6pm.
  • If you love Aretha, James and Otis, then Eat My Shorts, a 10 piece funk n soul band with Jennine Bailey on vocals is just the gig for you.

Bill Martin Septet

  • Saturday 25 March, 6pm.
  • Reflecting the unique vision of band leader Bill Martin the seven musicians register the influences of Keith Jarret, Chick Corea, Miles Davis and Snarky Puppy.

Christchurch Youth Jazz Orchestra

  • Sunday 26 March, 2pm to 5.30pm.
  • This band featuring selected jazz musicians from the high schools of Ōtautahi play a selection of
    contemporary arrangements that swing hard and lock in the grooves.

All Girl Big Band

  • Sunday 26 March, 2pm to 5.30pm.
  • The All Girl Big Band comprises 18 Christchurch women who have changed the face of the jazz scene in New Zealand and create a powerhouse of sound that will blow you away.
