Come along and help a dune out! Plant spinifex with The Green Lab and Coastal Park Rangers at New Brighton Beach and learn how dunes defend our coast.
Come and join The Green Lab and the Coastal Park Rangers to trial a new Help a Dune Out initiative at New Brighton Beach.
Coastal dunes play an important role in natural coastal defence, helping protect the shoreline during storm events. This event will focus on a new trial area where participants will help plant spinifex seed heads and learn how dune planting strengthens the dune system and supports weed control.
It’s a hands-on opportunity to learn about coastal ecosystems and be part of making a positive difference for our local environment.
Find us via the Beatty Street entrance to the beach.
