Three times Apra Children’s Musician of the Year Award, Levity Beet is well known for his dynamic and humorous performances – and weird custom instruments. Performances are at 11.30am and 1.30pm.

Simon Kong is joined by Byllie Jean and other musical friends for a session of musical musing and moments of discovery. A long time journeyman of New Zealand dance floors, Simon mixes moods, feelings and memories of long lost parties with sunny days and hopefulness for all tomorrow’s plans. Performances throughout the day.

At 11am Hagley Community College’s fabulous waiata rōpū will perform song, action and harmony in the foyer.

Curator Ken Hall will give a fascinating floor-talk in the exhibition As Time Unfolds. This show is a fascinating gathering of works from our collection from Ancient Greece and Rome, through the baroque and renaissance periods, and into the contemporary. He will be joined by Ōtautahi artist Helen Calder – join in the conversation at 3pm in the gallery.
