Going Zero Waste - a free community wānanga

At this wānanga Para Kore will introduce the concept of linear vs circular systems, and investigate more sustainable alternatives to these systems.

Introducing the concept of linear vs circular systems of taking, making, selling, using and disposing of our stuff - demonstrating that there is a much bigger story to our stuff than just how we get rid of it.

The wānanga investigates other more sustainable alternatives to this system and makes connections to Te Ao Māori values and practices and how they minimise our impact on creation.

An event for anyone who wants to find sustainable ways to lower or eliminate their waste at home, work or community space.

Para Kore is a not-for-profit that delivers a Te Ao Māori based sustainability education programme called Oranga Taiao that provides wānanga, resources and support to marae, whānau, hapū, iwi, groups, entities and communities to design out and reduce waste.
