Celebrate Ōtautahi’s local music talent at Go Live! Featuring The Eastern, Ranchsliders, Deep Water Creek and Katie Thompson.
Christchurch’s biggest two-week music festival is here! Go Live! features 30 local acts across 9 events and it’s all free!
Closing out the Victoria Square Live Zone will be a collection of diverse and well-established Christchurch singer-songwriters. From country and folk, to alternative rock and pop, you can hear a great mix of acoustic and electric music with a relaxing Sunday afternoon vibe.
Katie Thompson is a versatile and prolific alt-country artist. Channelling the timeless fragility of folk, while embodying the visceral energy of Americana, country, rock and blues influences.
Deep Water Creek, fronted by singer-songwriter Matty Smith, will deliver a dynamic set of his signature sonic country songs accompanied by some special guest musicians.
The Ranchsliders impressive line-up features the rhythm section from the iconic Coalrangers band - drummer Allan Cattermole and bassist Geoff Farmar, with keyboardist John Sanchez-Lloyd and guitarist Phil Doublet.
Rounding out the show are headliners The Eastern. Hailing from the port town of Lyttelton, The Eastern are a string band that roars like a punk band and swings like a gospel band. Known best for their high energy live shows and sing along anthems. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience The Eastern at the grand finale of Go Live! Festival.
