Friends of Crosbie Park planting day and working bees

Join us in enhancing Crosbie Park and the Ilam Stream for our low-key working bees and planting days with the Friends of Crosbie Park.

All dates are working bees except 17 September 2024 which is a planting day.

Join the Friends of Crosbie Park in making a positive impact on our local environment.

Over 2024, there is a series of scheduled low-level working bees and a planting day. We'd love for you to come along and help – it's a great opportunity to meet like-minded people.

What to expect:

  • Brief introduction and health and safety.
  • Weeding, watering, general maintenance and planting (on the designated planting day).
  • Gloves and tools are provided.

What to bring:

  • Gumboots or closed-in shoes.
  • Gardening gloves, if you have them.
  • Clothes suitable for streamside planting.
  • Sun protection.
  • Drinking water.

To help us prepare, contact Annaliese, your local Christchurch City Council Ranger, by 5pm the day before to let her know you are coming, or you can turn up on the day.

We value your support in continuing to make Crosbie Park a thriving and ecologically rich space. Let's come together for a greener community.

The Friends of Crosbie Park include local schools, the Network of the Ilam Stream (NOTIS), St Mark's Church and Community Centre, local residents, and Christchurch City Council, all dedicated to enhancing Crosbie Park and the Ilam Stream.
