Felt bowl workshop

Learn traditional felting techniques to make a felt bowl with natural, un-dyed Aotearoa wool with our craftsperson Simone Bensdorp.

These felt bowls are made from natural, un-dyed, Aotearoa wool and crafted using traditional felting techniques.

Wool felt-making is the oldest known way to make fabric, simply by combining wool, soap and water. This handmade material requires no fancy machines or chemicals and is a simple practice that anyone can learn and use.

Design and make your own bowl and leave with the skills to continue felting many other items at home.
