Heading north along the dunes and back along the beach, watch the sunrise over the sea with picturesque views of the Kaikōura Ranges, New Brighton Pier and the Port Hills.

Depending on the tide the walk will be on the beach.

The approximate distance is 3km. Meet before 6.30am by the New Brighton Clocktower in front of the Clocktower.
