Drawing Connections exhibition

The new Tūranga exhibition uses Cecil Wood’s architectural drawings to explore the cultural and historical context of buildings in Ōtautahi.

Drawing Connections examines the architectural legacy of Cecil Wood, showcasing a selection of superb interwar architectural drawings from the collections of Macmillan Brown Library (University of Canterbury) and Tūranga.

These drawings reveal Wood’s artistic skill and architectural evolution.

Wood's apprentice, renowned architect Sir Miles Warren, gifted many of the drawings to UC Library Archives.

The exhibition is a partnership between Christchurch City Libraries, UC Libraries, and UC Art History Department.
