Visit Avebury House, find out about its history and the local heritage of Richmond, and enjoy a Devonshire tea.
We welcome you to Avebury House, a grand Victorian house, designed by architect James Glanville and built in 1885 for the Flesher family. Avebury House has since become a centre for community activity in the Richmond area and in the adjoining Ōtākaro Avon River corridor.
Come along and find out about the history of this heritage building and the wider suburb during our open day.
Check out the displays of local history and the history of the house, including historic maps of the area.
Tour the house and, for a koha, enjoy our famous Devonshire tea.
